Visitor.

So we're in Colorado visiting with the grandparents in the midwest. It's always a great adventure coming back home, so we're in town for a bit.
We moved into our first home at the beginning of Feb and started painting the rooms we want painted. It's been a task but it's being handled.
Mia is pretty much done with the training of the potty and is wearing underwear except at night. She's had a few nights where she has gone all night in underwear so that is just a little ways off.
Things are stressful, times are strained but somewhere inbetween it all we're figuring it out. Slowly piecing the house together but it'll take time to get there.
Enjoying the snow, the family and the rest.

Travel

So the travel opportunities for us are not going to be the same as they once were. No road trips through the Austrian country side, cruising on the autobahn in Germany or ferries to the cliffs of Dover.

This wont stop us from seeing what is right in front of us. Our very own backyard is full of wonderful places to visit. We've already checked out San Diego, CA and plan to visit the Redwoods, San Francisco and maybe a trip to Lake Tahoe. Europe was a completely different culture and we were so willing to embrace the varieties before us...

...now we will be doing the same for our own country. Hiking Mt. Harney, capturing the Grand Canyon, kayaking the Colorado.... if it's available to do, we'll find a way to get it done.

Disney on Ice

I highly recommend to all parents, to take their children to Disney on Ice at least once while they're young. Disney is great at everything, including the production they put on ice. We got to ride along with McQueen, sing under the sea with Ariel, bask in the sun with Simba and watch the garden grow with Tinkerbell. It was phenomenal.

I do, recommend buying souvenirs before you go... or plan ahead, stadium prices are always astronomical but throw in Disney chaos and you've got off the wall prices. Bring your own snacks, you can get little cookies, pretzels and snacks before you go to avoid spending $10 on small bag of popcorn.

We really enjoyed Disney on Ice, I'm pretty sure my daughter will never forget when Terrance came out to dance, glide and twirl with Tinkerbell. It was fabulous.
